Kamel restaurant is an oasis nestled in the bayside suburb of Albert Park, serving Middle Eastern and North African inspired mezze dishes.

An intimate space with an ambient atmosphere Kamel makes the perfect choice for any occasion. A long mezze selection of dishes means you can choose any number of combinations every time you visit. Fresh seasonal dishes run alongside Kamel’s signature dishes, enhanced weekly by a specials board using the best produce Melbourne suppliers have to offer.

Kamel’s wine list supports Australia’s fantastic independent winemakers. These are both known and undiscovered gems that will compliment your meal. Many of the wines are available by the glass. You can enjoy a tantalizing cocktail or select a beer from the Australian and imported range.

Breakfast & Lunch in Albert Park is a weekend necessity and Kamel is a long standing institution in both. Professional & friendly staff will supply you with fantastic coffee and the relaxed atmosphere will make you want to stay all day. Laze away your weekend al fresco style by people watching on Victoria Avenue. Otherwise stay tucked away in the calm and cool of the courtyard or get cosy by the fireplace.

Our mezze dishes are all designed to share. The size of the dishes can be increased to suit the number of guests. Or simply choose one of the banquet menus (min 4 people) and leave it up to us.

Some of the dishes can be re-worked by the chefs to suit guests with different dietary requirements or contact the restaurant directly for more information. We have many vegetarian options and a Gluten Free menu available.

For groups of 10 or more guests there are 2 menu groups to choose from the Fixed Banquet or Create Your Own menu. These menus are to be confirmed prior to your function.

The three private dining rooms at Kamel are specifically designed to cater for all occasions. We welcome special functions from 10-32 guests for a mezze style sit down event or up to 50 guests for a canape cocktail party.

Our private rooms are ideal for celebrations, corporate events or casual get togethers. Regardless of the occasion our professional and friendly team will ensure you have a memorable event that fits your budget and exceeds your expectations.

Kamel’s food and wine menus can be tailored to your needs. We are happy to fine tune our menus especially for dietary and health requirements.

All group bookings of 10 or more guests may select either a fixed banquet or a Create Your Own menu. Menu confirmation and guest numbers are required 7 days in advance (14 days during December). Any deposit required can be discussed with our Event Manager.

We are fully licensed until midnight and do not accept BYO.
